More information

Project content

The aim of the joint project is to create an automation system for the processing of cell-free body fluids from the sample to the result. Further objectives of the joint project are the improvement and adaptation of nucleic acid purification methods, real-time PCR methods, immunoprecipitation methods and immunological detection methods for integration into the new automation system.

Modules

In addition to the development of the MultiDiag automation system itself, the project also includes the development of the SealCompact and HeatMagX sub-modules. These modules are an integral part of the Multi-Diagnostics platform, but can also be flexibly integrated into existing laboratory systems or used as stand-alone devices.

SealCompact

The SealCompact is an ultra-compact, automated heat sealer designed both for seamless integration into existing systems and for stand-alone operation for reliable sealing of panels.

HeatMagX

The HeatMagX is a compact, automated RNA/DNA extraction module that utilises heating up to 99 °C in liquid and magnetic bead separation and can be seamlessly integrated into existing systems.

Goals imk Health

  • Desktop device for analysing patient samples
  • Device for use in smaller laboratories
  • "From sample to result" - Automated sample preparation, analysis and evaluation
  • Functional model (demonstrator) to be created by 2026, followed by further development and certification
